🌭🚐🇩🇪 VW AUTOSTADT CURRYWURST PILGRIMAGE 🇩🇪🚐🌭

You can keep your Michelin stars.

Today I experienced something arguably more important to automotive history.

    The legendary Volkswagen Currywurst.

Served right here at Autostadt in Wolfsburg, this isn’t just a sausage. It’s basically an official VW component with its own part number. In true German fashion, Volkswagen has been making these things since 1973 and somehow sells millions every year. In some years they’ve practically been competing with their own car sales. (Wikipedia)

Sat inside the Tachometer restaurant, surrounded by the spiritual home of Volkswagen, with a plate of currywurst, fries and that famous VW ketchup, it felt less like lunch and more like a mechanical inspection of German culture. (Autostadt)

The sausage arrives, covered in rich curry sauce and carrying enough industrial heritage to power an entire production line.

    Honestly?

For a lifelong VW enthusiast who once owned a little red Polo, four GTDs, and is currently touring Europe in Vanilla, this felt like a proper pilgrimage moment.

Some people come to Wolfsburg for the cars.

    Others come for the architecture.

I apparently travelled across Europe to eat a factory sausage.

    And I regret absolutely nothing.
