Amazona trek day 1/3

First day, started with a 2h boat trip across the amazon where we spotted many pink dolphins (but couldn't take any pictures, they are too fast). Then we arrived at the Gamboa community which will host us for the following 3 days, we were greeted by a sloth at the entrance.

After lunch we got a small walk in the surrounding jungle, the different kinds of trees and their dangers (and learned that bullet ants actually live in the area...).

Then we took a couple of drinks with some where they shared their culture and (tried) to teach us a couple of words in their language while waiting for night time where fun began: all the tarantulas, scorpions and other funny stuff get out at night. So headlights on, big boots, long sleeved tops and pants (despise the temperature) and we were up for 2 hours in the jungle trying to spot them.Læs mere
