We got lucky again this morning - with a beautiful sunny but very cold, start to the day! Eventually, the rain came, as did the rainbow! Again, prayers to the cow gods as they block my path with no concern for my safety.
We walked through beautiful woods mostly today, stopping at Nympsfield Long Barrow for lunch with a view! (This is a Neolithic barrow constructed about 5500 years ago used for burials and as a ritual site
Scattered remains of 20 people, pottery and flint arrowhead were discovered during a 1937 excavation).
Walking into Dursley, we were met by the rainbow, so I stopped for a quick snack. We had miscalculated today's kms a bit. Thankfully, we also found a couple of shortcuts (one involving Sully, the Turkish man... "don't worry girls, you get from A to BZ" ❤️) .

Dinner at the Swan Hotel in Wotton-under-Edge... amazing pork/leek sausage from a local farmer with mashed and veggies!
