    April 30 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 59 °F

Went to times square in the evening and had an amazing pasta dinner in Manhattan, very chill day as it was tiring travel.

  • MoMA

    May 1 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 55 °F

So many cool pieces. I almost bought a print of Christina's World - loved seeing it in person. Still don't understand Warhol but we got a pic with the famous soup cans.

  • Garment District - 550 7th Ave

    May 1 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 61 °F

A very nice security guard let us in the lobby and showed us the best place to take photos. He's worked there for most of his career and is clearly very proud of his building.

For decades, this was the premier fashion building housing Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Donna Karon.Read more

  • Fashion Center Building & B&J Fabrics

    May 1 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 63 °F

In 1935, David Alper entered this building and tried to get on the passenger elevator wearing a clean white shirt and tie without a jacket. He was directed to the service elevator instead, but refused to move and was subsequently arrested. He was vindicated in court. This started the trend towards more informal styles for clothing.Read more

  • Six!

Divorced, beheaded, died. Divorced, beheaded, survived.

Fantastic show - truly spectacular singing from most of the Queens, with Seymour being especially amazing.

Got to go to MoMA and see van Gogh's starry night!! It was absolutely amazing though some of the more modern exhibits were ehhhh difficult to understand. After MoMa we walked around and got lots of food, I also got my first deck of cards for the trip! We also did a self guided tour of the garment district! And a very nice security guard let us see the lobby of the 550 building! Very excitingRead more

  • The Met

    May 2 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 55 °F

We were woefully unprepared for the size and awesomeness of this museum. We didn't see half the things we wanted to!

  • The Met - Egyptian Wing

    May 2 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 57 °F

This collection made the Vatican's look paltry.

A full Book of the Dead from Imhotep's tomb, so many artifacts from Hatchepsut and Thutmose III's reigns, a full tomb replica, and so much more from over thousands of years.Read more

  • Day 3

    May 2 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 61 °F

Today was busy! First we tried to go to the FIT museum of fashion but they were unfortunately closed. However next we went to the MET which had so so much that we actually couldn't get through it all!! We did go through their armor exhibit and Egyptian section though that was all we had time for. We would have gone to their costume area as well but that too was closed. In the evening we had dinner of course and then saw SIX! on Broadway! It was a fantastic show and made me cry like the first time I watched it online!Read more
