Same same but different

Same highway, same amazing mountain views, but unfortunately more traffic and strong headwinds all day today. We also had to climb a lot on a rolling road in bad condition. So when we arrived in Asuncion Nochixtlan after 95km and over 1600m elevation gain, we were both pretty exhausted.
Nonetheless, we spend some time on the local market as we needed to buy food for dinner. It's actually great fun as we usually try out some local specialties we find during shopping. Usually, I talk to the vendors while Herbert has 2 tasks. One is to hand the vendors our own bags. In order to reduce the amount of plastic bags, we always reuse ours. However, the people here usually have some bags right next to them, so it's always a challenge to be quick enough handing ours to them before they already grab theirs. Herbert's second task is to carry the bags, so I have my hands free to check the quality of the fruits and vegetables. After many days of practice, we are now pretty good at market shopping I think.Læs mere
