Jill CraigAmazing amount of water. Will this affect the amount of game you see?
TravelerSorry. Only just seen this question. We had so little spare time that I often wrote in moments before sleep.
TravelerWe learned that south-eastern Zimbabwe, Botswana and Angola had had above average rainfall. Visually we only 'saw' about a third of Victoria Falls which was a shame for our Aussies but they loved it anyway.
TravelerThere was no rain during our time but the impact was felt. In Gonarezhou, the Runde was in flood and we were limited to the northern side of the river. Vegetation growth prevented us from seeing quantities of wildlife but we still enjoyed our visit. In Botswana the impact was less obvious and we did see most animal varieties including cheetahs, but no wild dog.
