Honolulu - Day 1

We are here! Having boarded Hawaiian Airlines flight HA444 at 9.45pm Saturday night Brisbane time, we arrived in Honolulu at 10.40am Saturday (local time). We had a tail wind most of the way saw us in the air for just under 9 hours.

Our room at The Modern is an ocean view room on the 14th floor with a bacony overlooking the pool areas below and with a great view of the Hilton Hawaiian Village lagoon, Honolulu marina and ocean beyond. Apparantly a perfect spot for viewing the Friday night fireworks at the lagoon...will keep you posted on this ☺

We took the afternoon easy by taking a walk along the waterfront & familiarising ourselves (as best we could) with our surroundings, before settling by the pool to take in the slowly setting sun with a pizza and cocktails.

After not getting too much sleep on the plane and being a bit overwhelmed with all there is to take in when visiting somewhere new, we were beat and ready for some well overdue shut eye by 7pm. Day one is a wrap!Leia mais
