The detour.

The suggestion from our waiter was a really good one! The suggested route kept us off a very steep interstate mountain crossing AND we spent nearly to two hours driving through a mountain valley next to lakes, mountains and “game crossing” signs (but still no big game).

This might have been one of the best drives of our whole trip. Those mountains get mighty large when passing them by up close like that! There were lots of places to pull off for pit stops and just look around and I popped the drone up for a shot to document how cool it was.

Once we got the camper set up at the Rollins RV Park, we chatted with some local folks who recommended a dinner spot as well as a mountaintop drive! Of course most of that mountain road was gravel so… so long to the freshly washed and polished truck! I’m hoping to wash it again in the morning before the campground wakes up!
