Day 8: Drive to Coimbra

Up early again. Never experienced an open bottle of vodka in the hotel cafe so why not enjoy a refreshing after breakfast Madras!

Drive, drive, drive and we stopped in Careres for lunch. We popped into another beautiful old church then wandered the streets and found a lunch spot in the central plaza. It’s amazing how challenging and yet easy it is to order food and pay checks etc when there is no language overlap! Our lunch spot was very comfy and relaxing with a few of our travel mates… a scene I would be happy to repeat daily!Read more
