Day 13: Flying home!

Up at 6am because my brain was done sleeping. That translates to midnight in St. Louis… breakfast and taxi and bus to the airport was uneventful. Checking in was fairly easy… but the Lisbon airport is HUGE and the cues are enormously long… but everyone and everything went smoothly!!! Only 4,000 steps and we were finally at our gate with 90 minutes to spare. WHEW!

I spent most of our last euro coins at the vending machine getting a Snickers and Coke. That should sustain us for a bit, right?Read more
