Pirtis (Lithuanian Sauna)

For the second time I visited “Ivãnas Muša Gongã”, a modern sauna in Vilnius that offers open sauna sessions with a sauna master. This time both, the small very hot sauna and the large sauna in the attic were open. Both whirlpools and both ice baths, as well as the bar offered refreshments between the sauna sessions. In the beginning there were 2 hours of individual sauna from 4pm to 6pm, then the sauna guide began her ritual in the large sauna - equipped with a new stove for the new year: The first round with salt aroma steam, the second with peeling salt and sauna whisks.
