Bay of Islands Cruise

Lovely day on the water even though the sun was not out. From Paihia we cruised across to Russell Island then to Roberton Island (Twin Lagoon). Captain Cook landed once, offended the locals, shot a few...you know the drill. He did however draw some very accurate maps of the region. There's a lookout here named after him which we climbed to. Nice views! From here we went to Motu Kōkako (Hole in the Rock) through some rough waters... After that we had lunch on Urupukapuka ...Other Bay. Arrived back in Paihia in time to find a sports bar and watched the Melbourne Cup.Leggi altro
