    This was our second time in Barcelona. We first walked the La Rambla promenade with its live statues. This was the site of the terrorist attack just days earlier. Our private guide told us that it was quieter than usual with relatively empty cafes. We stopped to pay our respects at several memorials. They were very moving and emotional. The people of Barcelona say that they are "fearless" and terror will not win.
    Our tour focused on Antoni Gaudi. We had seen La Sagrada Familia from the outside but going inside was amazing. Then we visited two other architectural marvels of his: The Park Guell community and the Le Pedrera apartments.
    We learned so much about Gaudi and now understand his work. He was truly a genius far ahead of his time.
