    From the pier, we went to the boarding point for the panoramic elevator that took us to the highest point in Cartagena. We then visited the Old Quarter with its beautiful Art Nouveau town houses built in the late 19th and 20th centuries. From here we went to the Roman Theatre. Believe it or not the site was discovered in 1988. We went to a wonderful museum that allowed us to see how the Theatre looked in Roman times. The highlight, however is when you enter the theatre itself and you experience the enormity of the site. With all the Roman ruins we have visited this ancient Theatre ranks high on the list.Read more
