A Danish Sunday Out

A clear bright morning greeted and beckoned us to discover the world outside. Church bells called the hour as we headed out. A quick train trip to Klampenborg took us to Dryehve and the Royal Hunting grounds, a massive park with the Hermitage Hunting Lodge. Here Danes strolled, ran, and rode horses. The afternoon took us to Helsingør and Kronborg Castle, the setting for Hamlet. Such an idyllic seaside location, complete with albatross calling, you could almost be forgiven for imagining you were back in the 17th century experiencing life at court, expect for the constant to-ing and fro-ing of the ferries across the narrow passage to Sweden.Leia mais
