Didn't make it to Iowa today, got too late & we're still nervous on the back roads at dusk. Found this awesome state park, paid the fee, had a shower & hit the hay. Tomorrow, Iowa then into Wisconsin.

Had a coffee with Bob, ex Vietnam vet & his m8. Check out the size of that cup! Good guys & very friendly. Not far from the Wisconsin/Iowa border. Even up here the Mississippi is big!

Needed a stop here for gas & coffee. Road is ok but (& we want to) we're definitely taking it slower now. Still seeing whitetail deer on some house front lawns but now definitely on the route.

Another nice campground at Joplin. This town was flattened a few years ago by a tornado. Dinner at The Skillet restaurant was average, sent the steak back first time ever.
3 State Corner

Here's the monument point where 3 states collide. Caught in a storm here so for the first time on with the wet weather gear as we leave Missouri, touch Oklahoma & enter Kansas.
