    Cadillac Ranch Amarillo

    Really famous spot where these Cadillacs are half buried in the ground at Amarillo. Then anyone goes up to them & paints all over them... Whoopie we said but iconic! Read the 2nd amendment & you'll see why they won't give up their guns! And what am I saying in front of the sign? Guess... 😂Les mer

    Moved into New Mexico. Hot! Another older kinda wrecked town that seems to be going nowhere fast. Bad need of water here so got off the i40 & found a dirty old supermarket you won't see any photos of. The artwork in the town was beautiful.Les mer

    Got another KOA campground, less than a mile down the road we hit the Manzano Baptist Church just in time for the 6.30pm service. Great message & very warm friendly service. Local Sherrif was in the congregation so we should be right here. Then got to have a beautiful Mexican dinner at El Patron Restaurant. No grass at this campground so the air mattress better hold up cause there's alot of stones!Les mer

    Here it is. Part of the inspiration for the trip was the Wild HOG's movie & here's the diner so much took place in. Talked to some locals about the filming here & had lunch in the Mine Shaft Tavern.

    Heading up higher into New Mexico now & still very hot. Terrain is just ugly, houses look like clay build. Roads are good. Loud pipes save lives 😎

    Staying the night in Durango & just had the best dinner including chocolate brownie done in stout beer with ice-cream & bacon bits on it. Never thought I'd like it. Good trip across from New Mexico with plenty of laughs... mostly at our expense when the people in the gas stations hear us talk! 🤣Les mer

    The scenery still has a whisp of New Mexico in it at the bottom end of Colorado but the roads & the vehicles have definitely changed. New Mexico was really run down with even repaired & dinged in police cars while Colorado is very different.Les mer

    A huge landscape that was very different to anything we've seen thus far! Size is comparable to Montana (Big Sky) but the rock changes everything. Good riding but plenty of deer warning signs & more recently killed deer on the roadside. Loud pipes save lives 😎 I hope!Les mer

    Beautiful town to spend the night in. Great dinner, beautiful scenery, warm pool & we're gonna have a later start tomorrow. Tenting on gravel now as lawn don't grow here. I gotta get some more physio on the leg & Colin has a mountain bike ride. Hanksville the goal for tomorrow as we work our way through some more National Parks. Off the road b4 5 is the goal with plenty of deer out.Les mer

    En route to the Sleepy Hollow campground & as the roads look a long way inland I'm keeping her topped up at every gas station in here. Really really bizarre scenery. According to the local barber (who I've visited due to public demand) Uranium, Coal & Pot Ash have been the big underground mining operations in here. There'd wanna be something valuable underneath all this cause sure ain't much above ground!Les mer

    Well I'm definitely the only camper here tonight! Quiet, & they say the temp drops quite low in this valley over night, well I'll sure be looking for that. More totally Martian type landscape scenery today. Check out the concrete mixer! Definitely Trump country. Just a couple of hours from Moab but heading for the big canyons! 😎Les mer

    Wow! Look at this! Absolutely like nothing I've ever seen before! Just huge. About 5 people simply fall off here every year taking pics from outside the fences. Just dumb cause there's no coming back & the metal is loose & fine.Les mer

    Sooo much to photograph here! An entire day of just huge stone monuments. Navaho waitress gave us the bandanas with our meal. Needed to shove another bike one in! Loud pipes save lives 😎

    Baptist church teaching to the Navajo Indians. Some of his message was in Navajo & they were all so friendly to us. Felt really welcome & now our bucket list is complete with a church service all the way round. Jesus saves! 😎Les mer

    Eagles - Take it Easy, listen to the song... we're standing on the corner in Winslow Arizona. And it was playing across the street out loud while we were here. And there's even a flatbed Ford parked outside. Unbelievable!Les mer
