    Some interesting sights inside the jail. Quite a few info boards about prisoners who had escaped - note how comparatively minor some offences were. Florence MacDonald the first female lifer and tripod the prison cat. Each cell had a can to serve as the toilet - emptied and cleaned daily by assigned prisoners. Pic of shower taken standing outdoors in prison yard , no door or privacy. Not the sort of accommodation to rush back to!Read more
