    Remote and Breezy

    Now made it properly into the North of Iceland: a long drive so we don't run out of time ⌛

    Many of the lighthouses are painted orange, which does make them way to spot during the long days ☀️

    Sometimes roads are impassable, thankfully a tunnel was available: 9km long in this case.

    Thought I'd better include some waterfalls or you won't believe I'm in Iceland, the hillsides seem to glow bright green in places where the moss is so vibrant.

    An incredible private hotpot, open to the public, only room for two and thankful to be out of the biting wind. It felt protected by the Arctic Terns who dive bombed us on the short path.

    Another abandoned building, fascinating as nature reclaims it and the barn next door

    The church was more loved, undergoing restoration works inside. The lichen was really that orange!

    The gravel roads along the smaller routes are varied in their quality - with some very holey indeed. But the ever changing views and light on the water 🥰
