    Leavin', on a jetplane ...

    August 28, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌧 29 °C

Eatin at Chili's in Miami airport. Boarding soon. The Predhams got the same shuttle as we did, which dropped them at the Allure of the Seas for the second leg of their trip. (Mr. & Mrs. Predhams 50th anniversary cruise with the whole family).

    Last day at sea.

    August 27, 2016, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

Had a full day at sea yesterday. Won another music trivia contest :). Got a medal for the trophy case at the cabin.

Five of us went to the comedy show after that.

Today we won little portable speakers in the arcade. Yay. We are sailing through a storm - heavy rain, lighting, but seas are pretty calm, considering.Read more

    August 25, 2016 in Aruba ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Predhams went to beach in the AM. Michele and I went in to the shops very briefly after lunch. Very hot! Probably 35C.

That shop in the photo is the Free winds - the cruise ship used by Scientologists for their highest level of training. Yes. True. (1)

    Curacao !

    August 24, 2016 in Curacao ⋅ 🌙 29 °C

Long stay. Still in port as I make this entry. We arrived at 1 and will leave at 11 tonight, bound for Aruba. We went in to Willemstad around 3, did some twakking. John and I stayed behind, skipped supper. Beautiful island, reminds us of Bermuda. Very hot, but a strong breeze made it more comfortable, especially in the shade.

John and I got back around 6:30, seemed like broad daylight - when I looked out the window around 7:30 or so, it was nearly pitch black. Sun goes down soooo early! We can see a very noticeable difference in time of sunset add we go further south.

Probably gonna pop in to port for a quick night visit before sailing away. Would love to see some lights from South America tonight if possible.

Docked in Rio Romano, Dominican Republic

    August 23, 2016 in Dominican Republic ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

Docked at the mouth of the Rio Romana on the southeast coast of the Dominican Republic. Went ashore for just a little while, did some souvenir shopping, me and John observed some interesting fish and crabs near the shore. Beautiful place, through we did not explore much of it. You can see three baseball fields, from the ship.Read more

    Sailing around the Dominican Republic.

    August 23, 2016, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

On our way to La Romana, Dominican Republic. Looks like we have to sail around the island. You can actually see the island's lights from the ship right now. Pretty smooth sailing ever since we left Ft Lauderdale.
