• Selfoss Waterfall

    We arrived at the car park, sorted out our gear and hiked up to the first of the two falls - Selfoss. It was quite hard to get close to the actual falls because you have to cross the river, picking your way across rocks, pools and black volcanic silt. There was the ice too.

    We tried a few shots of Selfoss but it was hard to find an inspiring angle, especially as we were only given flat and dull light. Annoyingly, the phone appears to have brought out the best of it.

    We did find the rock pools interesting however, and spent some time photographing the patterns and shapes.
