    Bardstown

    June 7, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 17 °C

After washing sheets etc and having breakfast we left for the very long drive back to Bardstown. We travelled through Tennessee and it was one of the prettiest drives we've taken so far. The trip didn't seem so long because it was so picturesque. We arrived home about 4 o'clock and did some much-needed washing. All up we drove 2,000 miles in the last 11 days and we saw many places we would not normally have seen and certainly hiked many trails we would otherwise never have hiked.
First shot is of the sunrise from the porch of the cabin, second is the foxgloves beside the path and the third shows the petals of the mountain laurel on the steps to the cabin. They are very delicate and look like shells when they fall upside down. Then packing up the car and a last look at the cabin before leaving.
