The Lost Tinamou - Finca La Gracia

We left Los Tarrales early to visit Finca La Gracia and spend the morning birding there. We had picnic breakfast on top of a mountain while birding and enjoying the beautiful scenery of Guatemala's volcanic belt in the morning sun.
A Crested Caracara soared past us and landed on a nearby tree, and soon after a pair of Yellow-naped Parrots did the same!
After breakfast, walking down the mountain we got to see a beautiful Gray-crowned Yellowthroat which is one of the few resident warblers found in the Guatemalan lowlands.
We set out on the long trail where we got fantastic views on a Gartered Trogon perched quietly along the trail. A male Painted Bunting also gave us wonderful scope looks!.

After lunch, we traveled to Lake Atitlán where we enjoyed the Atitlán scenery and rested for an epic adventure the next day.Läs mer
