Slender Sheartail

Pick up from airport right on time. Then we had to fight our way through Guatemala’s city traffic before we could make our way to lake Atitlan. We arrived just in time with about two hours of daylight left which was going to give us just enough time to find our first target. The Slender Sheartail. The last three visits to another site came up with no sightings, so we staked out this new location. After scanning the gardens and descending towards the lake we heard the clicking sound of a Sheartail. And sure enough, with the lake as a backdrop we saw a gorgeous male taking in the last sun of the day. First target in the bag, we headed to Santiago in order to get in an early night.もっと詳しく
