Coober Pedy Drive-in night

What a wonderful introduction to Coober Pedy’s amazing Opal Festival! A free screening at the old Drive In ( one of the very few left in SA!)...and of course what else could it be but PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT! How cool to be IN the actual drive-in used for the film, watching that pivotal scene. Lots of car horns honking acknowledging the huge footprint Coober Pedy contributed to this iconic Aussie film. Drag Queen shows on at the Italian Club after the flick but we took Jasper home to bed instead. Looking forward to the Festival tomorrow!Read more
