Sardegna road trip day 2, pt 1

Portixeddu to Bosa
We drove from Portixeddu through the mountains to the sea: Arbus, Montivecchio, Porto Palma, Arborea, Marceddi, Is Arutas, Santa Caterina di Pittinuri and finally Bosa.

Driving on those mountain roads is not for the faint-hearted. The Sardinians have a pre-disposition for driving with the driver’s wheel over the centre line as often as they can. This makes for very interesting passing on the narrow and very twisty roads.

You know that you are going slowly when an ice cream truck overtakes you up hill on the twisty section. I wasn’t in a hurry and I had a very nervous passenger.Read more
