    Ellis Beach

    We had hoped to stay in Palm Cove however the CP there was booked out until the end of September.

    Looking at Wikicamps I found Ellis Beach, called them and secured 6 night to use as a base around the Cairns "Northern Beaches".

    Ellis Beach is a 7 minute drive from Palm Cove and 20 minutes from Port Douglas.

    Apart from getting used to the nearby road noise on the first night we had a very enjoyable stay here and used it as a base for Port Douglas, Palm Cove and Kuranda. More on those later.    Read more
