Sometimes tourist attractions aren’t worth the hype, money, or crowds. I was concerned Angkor Wat was going to be one of these places but I have been pleasantly surprised. I escaped Bangkok today. It wasn’t an easy one. The 170km started with dodging traffic in morning rush hour and finished with five hours of torrential rain. Before the rain came my feet were already soaked from the worst wrong turn I could have made down a flooded street and back again the same way. Not sure why it was flooded but there was a river of water running down it. My skin is all wrinkled wet and the chafe is present. It wasn’t the most comfortable setup but it felt great to be rowing on the ocean once again. Finished the day with my first ever 🌅 dip in the Andaman Sea!
