In the afternoon we drove south into the Principality of 🇱🇮 Liechtenstein to Vaduz which is the capital and also where the Royal Palace is.
Schaffhausen

We've just spent 2 nights in a wonderful Baroque Hotel in Schaffhausen, leaving Switzerland today to travel through the Black Forest in Germany to Strasbourg in France.
旅行者Rozzie...in Strasbourg...we didn't plan our time wisely to see the super cool clock in the church do it's thing (which is a nerdy thing to want to see possibly)...or book in to climb up the hundreds of stairs to top of the spires in the catherdral... So can I request you do both and capture on video videos (so can experience through you guys 😀)
Roslyn BrownJust went to the church to see the clock and then saw your post- so 1st request taken care of! As for the other- stair climb, there are 450 steps to the top, so surprisingly I haven't done that yet😫😉
Munot Castle, Schaffhausen

Before leaving Schaffhausen we visited the fortress, Munot Castle- it's quite an amazing structure with light beaming down into the cavernous interior. What was originally a moat now has deer roaming.もっと詳しく

Raced back to the church for the 4.00pm chiming of the astronomical clock! Then climbed the stairs to the top of the church tower! So there are 335 steps up then you need to climb back down again!もっと詳しく

Dropped our car in Milan this morning to fly to Lyon for 3 nights! We had a small plane which flew low over the Alps- great views including Mont Blanc from above!

The moors are starkly amazing. Back in Whitby we visited the Whitby Abbey ruins where we managed to have about a 3 minute window when the fog clearly slightly then closed in again!
