The golden pavilion (Kinkaku) is a shariden containing relics of Buddha and is part of Rokuon-ji Temple. This pavilion is representative of Muromachi-period architecture. There is also a detached teahouse built during the Edo period named for its beauty in the late afternoon sun, Sekkatei.Read more
