    Haedong Yonggung Temple

    One of the only seaside Buddhist temples in South Korea, Haedong Yonggung was built c. 1376 by Naong Hyegeun before the start of the Joseon dynasty. This temple was destroyed in fire during the Japanese invasion in the 1590s and left in ruin until its reconstruction in the early 1930s by the monk Ungang.Read more
