Jigokudani Monkey Park

Snow monkeys (Japanese macaque) will bath in the hot springs in the extreme cold of winter. This is not an innate behavior, but rather a cultural one. A young snow monkey happened to try one of the hot springs and liked it, so the other monkeys started doing it as well.
