Tokuyama (Yamaguchi Prefecture)

Staying a couple nights in Tokuyama while exploring the surrounding area. Wandered into a neighborhood ramen shop, extremely small, just a few bar-style seats. The husband and wife running the shop were extremely friendly, chatting with everyone there. They were very surprised when I came in—it sounds like they don’t get many foreigners. They were like, why are you in Tokuyama, where are you going? (since there isn’t much to do here as a tourist). Anyway, apparently it’s more of a Hakata style ramen with flavors of pork bone.Läs mer
