    Whittier, AK was created by the US Army during WWII as a no-ice port and petroleum delivery center. To get to Whittier by car you must drive thru a one lane tunnel, carved through a mountain. The tunnel is about 3 miles long.

    Once in Whittier, not much to see. However there is a alot of fishing charters who harvest fish from the Prince William Sound. Might be a future trip 😊    Read more
