We headed back into Arcadia National Park and drove along the Park loop Road. Beautiful diversity of nature at the edge. As you drive in, the tree branches on the opposite sides come together to make an arch for your entrance 😁 This 27-mile road is the go-to scenic drive around the east side of Mount Desert Island, connecting Acadia's lakes, mountains, and shoreline.
Acadia National Park is most famous for its rugged, breathtaking coastline. And like the Colorado Rockies, it’s known for it’s stunning fall foliage 🍂 The Park Loop Road is one of three types of major road systems on the island. Constructed between 1921 and 1958, it allows motor vehicles access to the park separate from local roads.Read more
