• FP update 3/8 Ruby Falls Chattanooga, TN

    March 8, 2025 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

We visited a “Miracle of Nature” right outside of Chattanooga. Even though we lived here 18 years ago we never visited Ruby Falls until now 😁

It was accidentally discovered by Leo Lambert in 1928 deep inside Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Leo named the waterfall and cave after his wife, Ruby, and opened the iconic Chattanooga attraction to the public in 1929.

It is home to the tallest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States. You descend 260 feet by glass-front elevator into the cavern hidden deep within Lookout Mountain. That is where the fun begins as we explore on foot with a guided walk along the scenic path to the breathtaking waterfall. A must see when in the area. 👍🏻💜
