We docked in St. Lucia, and I felt a tug in my heart, knowing that my Dad spent some time here in service to the people of this beautiful island. He volunteered at a hospital sponsored by Loyola University Hospital. My Mom and one of my sisters were here with him, and his stories of his visit came back to me.
We took a bus trip around the island, stopping at a lovely house that was a center for batik, coconut oil, and other local productions. Dumb me- I didn't take pictures of the batik, because the surrounds were so beautiful. We stopped at a beach near the Pitons- volcanic cones at one end of the island. Wayne put his hand in the water (sometimes it's his toes, but not this time.)
I DID get pictures of rainbows at the beginning and end of our excursion.
