Teotihuacán

Teotihuacan was an ancient very important Mesoamerican city near Mexico City. For mostly unknown reasons big parts of the city were burned down and destroyed around 750. Later Aztecs found the ruins of the city and thought of it as a special and mystical place. They named it Teotihuacan ("where you become a god")
