Maxokk Bakery - Nadar, Gozo

At the recommendation of Sarah, our dive guide/ instructor/ friend, we located this very obscure pizza place. Amazing pizzas, known as a gozoan ftir, or open ftir sandwich. We had chicken curry and the maxokk special. Sliced potatoes on top - yummy.

After location the doorway without signage, we pulled the curtain aside to reveal the counter, menu on the wall, and a really, really old pizza oven, we placed our order and had a beer while awaiting the pizza.Read more
