Arrived at Sorrento to catch the ferry across to Queenscliff with just enough time for a glass of local bubbles before boarding. Met a couple from our homeland and Johnny couldn’t help but show off our local trail run/hiking areas.Read more

Great first day

First day of the festival did not disappoint.

Scored a great little semi secluded spot given how busy the campsite is with festival goers and got the tent up in super quick time, not bad for our fist attempt.

Once all set up and settled in we headed into the town to collect our tickets then popped into the Brewhouse for a craft beer in their sunny beer garden. Perfect timing we later discovered as on leaving the line for tickets stretched passed the pub and along the street 😳.

Through the night we moved between the tents to catch Mojo Juju, Tim Finn, The Delta Riggs, The Strides and dance away to DJ Vince Peach, who we happened to discover on chatting to him that he has spent considerable time in and around the areas we grow up in.Read more

We will be back

Second day of the festival was just as good, if not better.

Lazy morning spent mooching around the town and market stopping to listen to a couple of sets at Circa 1902 before heading back for a relaxed lunch reminiscent of our Europe travels: bread, cheese, tomato and red wine from the Delatite Winery picked up on previous travels.

By its nature the festival had an eclectic mix of music styles and some were definitely not for us, others we loved, but there were enough venues inside or scattered around the town that we could always find something we liked and over the day got to hear Nathan Seeckts, Cooper Lower
Charlie Collins, Clare Bowditch, Remi
Dubarray (from his dancing this was def one of Johnnys favourites) Cat Empire and again danced away to the northern sole vibes of DJ Vince Peach.

Another great day. We will defiantly be back.Read more

End of a great weekend

All packed up we heading into town to catch Brekky Boy at the Brewhouse, then quick stop to look out over the town and festival from the View Grand rooftop before catching the ferry. Timing could not have been better, we got to the ferry port just in time to board. And because you can never get enough live music ( or beer)) we stopped off at Jetty Road brewery before heading home.
