Chichi Markets -an incredible experience

Yes there is an abundance of markets all over the Americas, especially those for tourists, what makes this one so special? - well, first of all its not only /or actually just a small part is for tourists, the markets are dominated by local farmers and traders meeting in Chichicastenango every Thursday and Sunday for centuries already... you can feel this vibe! 😍

There's no place like this, so colourful, loud, hectic and vibrant... almost everyone is wearing the indigenous costumes of their town, exchanging goods, grabbing a bite, in between a tuktuk driver, little kids playing ...so much life!

We didnt buy anything and yet spend over 5 hours just walking through all the little alleys...it was amazing!Читать далее
