    Queen Maeve's Cairn, perched atop Knocknarea Mountain in County Sligo, is a legendary ancient burial site associated with the warrior queen Maeve of Connacht. The massive stone cairn, visible from miles around, offers a glimpse into Ireland's rich mythological past. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for a visit this trip, as it was nearly 3 p.m., and we had a five-hour drive back.Read more
