    Kilcrea Castle, located near Kilcrea Friary in County Cork, Ireland, was built around 1465 by Cormac Láidir MacCarthy. This fortified tower house served as a stronghold for the MacCarthy family. The castle features a large rectangular tower and defensive walls, typical of 15th-century Irish castles.
