Our only destination in Laos; not sure about failed communist states and this did nothing to change my mind ... but the hotel was excellent and well managed by the lovely Emmanuelle. So the French are still in charge here!?Read more

Traveler Tried to buy a guide to the Summer Palace. The shop in the palace ... closed. The book shop in town ... closed. Last chance the Monument book shop in the airport ... closed! Such an entrepreneurial spirit!
