    Phnom Penh - Genocide Museum

    We decided not to go to the "killing fields" but to pay our respects at this museum. It was known as S21 and is housed in the building used to torture and kill thousands of innocent victims. Please feel free to skip this bit. It is truly awful.Read more

    TravelerWhen this prison was liberated the last 14 prisoners had been killed before the guards fled. They are buried in white graves in front of building A. There are photographs of how they were found in each room of building A in the background.

    TravelerBarbed wire surrounding the prison. There was no-one to hear their screams as the whole city had been cleared in a matter of days. Forced to work on the land about which they knew nothing.
