5 hour stop over in Hanoi

The next day we didn't have a clue what to do when we woke up, so we booked a taxi to the station and decided to head to our next destination. The infamous Sa Pa... Via a 5 hour lay over in Hanoi. We decided to head straight as we are beginning to get into the start of rainy season so want to get all the trekking done before the downpours start! We left at 12:30pm in the taxi, got a train to Hanoi, had a lovely Bun Bo Nam Bo for dinner, walked around the old quarter, got on our sleeper train (it looked super cute in our birth!!), had a terrible night sleep due a loose piece of metal that clanged the whole way, arrived in Lao Cai, got a notoriously dangerous/ accident prone bus to Sa Pa, didn't die, booked a homestay far from town in the mountains, agreed a price for a mini bus to take us to the homestay, nearly got over charged by 150,000 Đồng, checked into our homestay, had breakfast and went to bed for 9:30am.
