I met my friend Min for lunch at Tiong Bahru, which is a gentrifying neighborhood with cool art deco buildings. After lunch, we wandered around the area for a bit. I showed Min the Atlas Obscura listed building with a Word War II air raid shelter, and we also saw some delightful little shops hidden in back lanes.
