Freycinet National Park

We were thinking of doing the Wineglass Bay lookout walk while we were here. But after doing the cruise and seeing it from the water we decided we didn't need to. It's much easier on the boat that a 4k walk up 400+ steps... then back down them. My knee thanked me.

There are lots of other beautiful short walks. The Cape Tourville Lighthouse is definitely the best.It was a very easy walk. With breathtaking veiws. You could get a peck of Wineglass. Plus, the seal rocks. We also explored Sleepy Bay, with some interesting rocks. A bit of a hike down and back. Not to bad. Honeymoon beach, just a short stroll from the car park. Finally, Friendly Beach. Like many beaches here, it has fine, white, squeaky sand.
We also seemed to be drawn to the ice cream/takeaway shop at Coles Bay. Were you could sit outside with views of the bay and mountains ringing it. 3 days of ice creams and one of fish & chips. Maybe we should have done the Wineglass Bay lookout walk after all.Læs mere
