    A rainy day. Did the short drive to see the magnificent tree carvings.

    The trees were planted to remember the local men that did not return from WW1. As there grow bigger the council deemed them a hazard and were going to cut them down. The towns people banded together to fund raise. They employed a chainsaw carver to turn the trees into these beautiful statues.

    The carvings represent the men and their lives before the war.

    TravelerHad a fantastic day. We drive up to Ben Lomand. Had pies for lunch. The simple things are always the best.
