• Bye bye Mongolia

    Jun 9–11 in Mongolia ☀️ 21 °C

The last few days in Mongolia flew by pretty fast. As we drove back toward Ulaanbaatar, we visited a national history museum in Kharkhorin and a nearby Buddhist temple, which had also been destroyed by the Soviets.

Right before our adventure ended, we drove through a national park where we saw marmots, different kinds of birds, and some Mongolian wild horses.

Back in Ulaanbaatar, we said our goodbyes to eachother. What a group we were the last couple of days! That’s the best part about traveling - connecting and bonding with people you never would have thought of. :)
For dinner, we were a little uncreative and just hit the nearest Burgerking. Later at the dorms, we got into an amusing conversation with a lovely old lady from LA. She’s on a missionary trip and has already been in Mongolia for two weeks to help set up a camp - pretty interesting stuff!

After a shower, I decided to shave off my beard for once. I'm already regretting it, because the last time I actually saw my chin was probably back in secondary school...

Well, so much for trying out new things! :D

I guess that’s it for now. Bye bye Mongolia, hello T-hailand! One step closer to my main mission: establishing a life in Australia :)

Hope you're all doing well! Until next time - feel free to write anytime ;)
